MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin volleyball team continues a season-long four-match homestand on Tuesday, Oct. 1 when it hosts Southeast Missouri in an Ohio Valley Conference showdown at 6 p.m.

The Skyhawks have an 11-11 all-time home record against Southeast Missouri, although UT Martin has won 10 of the last 13 contests against the Redhawks in Skyhawk Fieldhouse since 2001.

The Skyhawks (7-11, 1-1 OVC) split their OVC-opening weekend, downing SIU Edwardsville 3-1 on Friday night before a 3-0 loss to Eastern Illinois on Saturday. UT Martin was led in those two matches by Emily Keaton, who tallied 26 kills on a .345 hitting percentage to go along with 21 digs. Allie Whimpey (21 kills) and Amanda Crask (82 assists) also helped guide the offense while Chelsea Bowles (30 digs) and Alisha Erves (seven blocks) paced the defense.

Southeast Missouri (8-8, 1-1 OVC) also split their first two OVC matches last weekend, defeating Eastern Illinois 3-2 on Friday and falling 3-1 to SIU Edwardsville on Saturday.

The Redhawks lead the OVC in blocks (143, 2.27 per set), as Taylor Masterson (0.98 per set) and Emily Coon (0.95) rank third and fourth in the league, respectively. Berkley Idel leads Southeast Missouri with 277 digs (4.40 per set) on the season.

Colleen Yarber ranks third in the OVC in kills (188, 3.36 per set) while Emily Coon ranks fourth in the league in hitting percentage (.315) for Southeast Missouri. Julie Shives hands out 8.92 assists per set to help out the Redhawk offensive attack.
