TROY COOK ADDED TO CFPA FCS NATIONAL PERFORMER OF THE YEAR TROPHY WATCH LIST

CHARLESTON, SC – University of Tennessee at Martin junior quarterback Troy Cook has been added to the College Football Performance Awards Football Championship Subdivision National Performer of the Year Trophy watch list as announced by the CFPA today.
Cook earned a spot on the 36-player watch list after settling into the starting quarterback position for a Skyhawk program which sits second in the Ohio Valley Conference standings only behind No. 2 ranked Jacksonville State. Cook is one of just three OVC players on the list, joining quarterbacks Eli Jenkins (Jacksonville State) and KD Humphries (Murray State).
A native of Miami, Fla., Cook has completed 132-of-220 passes for 1,885 yards and 19 touchdowns. He has tallied a pair of 300-yard passing performances while posting arguably his best performance against Murray State where he tallied 21 completions for 317 yards and three touchdowns.
Cook currently ranks amongst league leaders in passing efficiency (153.2, first), passing touchdowns (19, second), passing yards per completion (14.28, second), points responsible for (114, third), passing yards (1,885, fourth) and passing yards per game (188.5, fifth). He also ranks 10th nationally in passing yards per completion, 11th in passing efficiency and 14th in passing touchdowns.
Cook and the Skyhawks will look to keep its OVC title aspirations alive when they take on Southeast Missouri on Saturday, Nov. 12. Kickoff from Hardy M. Graham Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m.
