GOLFSTAT TO PROVIDE LIVE SCORING FOR UPCOMING EKU INTERCOLLEGIATE

MARTIN, Tenn. – Skyhawk golf fans can follow along with the University of Tennessee at Martin’s progress during the upcoming EKU Intercollegiate as GolfStat.com will provide live scoring for the 36-round tournament.
UT Martin is one of 18 teams in the field of the inaugural EKU Intercollegiate, joining Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, host Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, George Mason, Longwood, Marshall, Mercer, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, SIUE, Tennessee State and Youngstown State.
The EKU Intercollegiate will be played at the University Club at Arlington, a par-70 course that plays at 6,623 yards. The first round from Richmond, Ky. will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday, Sept. 17, followed by the second round later that afternoon. The final round will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18.
The Skyhawks are coming off a successful season-opening tournament, as UT Martin claimed second place honors in the Murray State Invitational on Sept. 12-13. In that tournament, the Skyhawks shot under par as a team in each of the three rounds, finishing with a final score of 844 (-8). UT Martin placed three players in the top-11, including all-tournament selection Austin Swafford (207, -6). The senior out of Lebanon, Tenn. earned the best finish of his collegiate career, finishing second in the field of 63 golfers.
