MARTIN, Tenn. – Meghan Corvin, head coach of the University of Tennessee at Martin equestrian program, has added incoming freshman Brooke Lutzi for the 2016-17 season.

Lutzi, whose specialty is hunter seat equitation, joins the Skyhawks out of Ithaca High School in Ithaca, NY. Since 2011, she has been trained by the legendary Nona Garson, who competed in the 2000 Olympics, 1998 World Championships and 1995 Pan American Games.

“We are excited to have Brooke join our program,” Corvin said. “She brings a wealth of talent and experience to our hunter seat roster. We anticipate great things as she continues her career as a Skyhawk.”

Lutzi has qualified for the USEF Hunter Seat Medal finals, the Maclay Region finals, M&S Junior Medal finals and the Hunterdon Equitation Cup. She was also selected for the USHJA Emerging Athletes program.

“I chose UT Martin because of its strong academic reputation and the opportunity to compete on a NCAA Division-I team,” Lutzi said.
