WOMEN'S HOOPS ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION OF ANSLEY EUBANK TO PROGRAM
June 21, 2016
MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin women’s basketball head coach Kevin McMillan has announced the addition of Ansley Eubank, a 5-9 guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn. to the three-time defending Ohio Valley Conference champions.
Eubank becomes the fifth player to commit to the Skyhawks for the upcoming 2016-17 season. She joins fellow incoming commits Kendall Spray (Lebanon, Tenn.), Breanna Boggs (Erin, Tenn.), Lindsay Chrise (Mishawaka, Ind.) and Janekia Mason (Covington, Tenn.).
“Ansley comes from a winning program both at the high school and club level,” said McMillan. “She is a combo guard that will give us some versatility on both ends of the court. We believe that her work ethic and talent level will fit nicely within our program.”
Eubank joins the Skyhawks from Oakland High School where she helped lead the Patriots to new heights. While at Oakland HS, Eubank’s squads posted a cumulative record of 98-27 along while notching a TSSAA Class AA state runner-up in 2015. On the court, Eubank became a member of the illustrious 1,000-point club while earning all-district honors. As a junior, she averaged 9.4 points and 2.8 steals per game.
At the club level, Eubank played for Kentucky Premier, who competed at the highest level in the Nike EYBL circuit. She will join her sister Emily Eubank, a former Lipscomb transfer, who redshirted last season due to NCAA transfer rules.
