DALTON MOVES INTO TOP-10 IN BARREL RACING AFTER WEDNESDAY ACTION AT 2016 CNFR

CASPER, Wyo. – University of Tennessee at Martin senior Nealey Dalton vaulted into ninth place after an impressive barrel racing performance on the fourth day of the 2016 College National Finals Rodeo held at the Casper Events Center.
A native of Adamsville, Tenn., Dalton was the only UT Martin representative to compete today. She responded with her best score of the 2016 CNFR, posting a time of 14.35 seconds during her third round performance. Her average now stands at 43.52 seconds, just 1.02 seconds behind the leader in the event.
Lane Mitchell and Natalie Fletcher will each be in action for UT Martin on Thursday, June 16. Mitchell will join forces with East Mississippi’s Marcus Theriot for their third round performance in team roping while Fletcher will take part in her third go in breakaway roping. Day 5 of the CNFR begins at 7 p.m. local time and will once again be streamed live on ESPN3 at the link above.
