MARTIN, Tenn. - After three consecutive road games to begin the season, the University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball team holds its home season opener against NAIA power Rochester College on Friday, Nov. 15 at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.

This game serves as the sixth-annual Character Counts game for UT Martin. Approximately 1,800 students from local elementary, middle and high schools will be in attendance as part of a field trip to reward good behavior.

The Skyhawks (0-3) will be looking for their first win of the young season after trading blows with Wyoming, Colorado and Arkansas State, who have combined for a 5-2 record so far this season.

Rochester College (7-1) is coming off a 30-4 season where they claimed the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division-I national championship. The Warriors are coached by Klint Pleasant, who served as an assistant coach at UT Martin from 1999-2001.

The Warriors are coming off an 83-34 throttling of Ohio State-Lima last Sunday. John Irons scored a game-high 13 points off the bench for the Warriors.
