MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin equestrian team will compete against No. 1 Georgia at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 2, at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Ga.

“This is going to be a good opportunity for us to compete on the road and ride unfamiliar horses in preparation for our national championship in April,” UT Martin head equestrian coach Meghan Cunningham said.

“Georgia is a pretty complete team,” Cunningham said. The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 6-4 worksheet after splitting a pair of contests this past weekend with Auburn and Delaware State.

UT Martin enters the contest with a 4-3-1 record. The Skyhawks also split the last time they competed (Jan. 25 and 26 at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion. The Skyhawks defeated Delaware State 15-5 and suffered a setback to Oklahoma State.

“We have competed well all year long,” Cunningham said. “We are capable to being competitive with anyone at any time.”
