COWBOY AMONG TOP 10 IN TIE DOWN ROPING AFTER FIRST TWO ROUNDS

MARTIN, Tenn. – UT Martin junior Jordan Thrasher from Culleoka is in sixth place in the tie down roping in the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyo. after his first two runs, while the team roping duo of Clark Adcock and Ben Walker are sitting in 10th place after their first go in the CNFR.

Thrasher turned in an even 10.0 in the first go and then went 10.7 in the second go for a total time of 20.7 after two rounds.

Adcock, a freshman from Smithville, and Walker, a sophomore from Sparta, are currently in 10th place in the team roping. Adcock and Walker went 7.2 in the first go.

On the women’s side, UT Martin seniors Heather Moore and Chelsie McDade have established themselves in the barrel racing and goat tying.

Moore, from New Johnsonville, is currently 14th in the barrel racing after two runs. She turned in a time of 14.77 in the first go and came back in the second go with a time of 14.25. Also competing in the barrel racing at the CNFR for UT Martin are freshman Katie Brown from Waverly and Dacia Horne from Lebanon.

McDade, from Selinsgrove, Pa., is sitting in 17th place in the goat tying after her first run where she turned in a time of 7.2.

The 64th annual CNFR continues through Saturday, June 16.
