MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME ON ESPNU; ALL FANS WEARING BLUE OR ORANGE ADMITTED FOR $1

MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball team will host Tennessee Tech in an Ohio Valley Conference clash Thursday, Jan. 14, in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center. The game, sponsored by Allegro Marinade, will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

Before the 8 p.m. tipoff, the 2009 championship banner will be unveiled. The Skyhawks won the OVC regular season title with a 14-4 worksheet and advanced to the first round of the NIT.

All fans wearing blue or orange will be admitted for $1. All children 12 years-old and under, accompanied by a paying adult will be admitted to the game free. In conjunction with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Coaches vs. Cancer, all cancer survivors also will be admitted free.

You can help the Skyhawks fight the battle against cancer by making a monetary pledge for every 3-pointer the team makes during the month of January. You can make your pledge at Thursday's game or any game through the end of the season. You can also make a donation to the American Cancer Society by going to UTMSports.com on the Internet. Click on the men's basketball page and go to the Coaches vs. Cancer icon.

The UT Martin women will get things under way at 5:30 p.m. against Tennessee Tech. Before the women's game, beginning at 5 p.m., UT Martin's Department of Athletics will host Martin Business Association's monthly Mix and Mingle in the Skyhawk Club Room on the concourse.

Sodexo- UT Martin Dinning Services will host courtside dining beginning at halftime of the women's game. Thursday's menu includes house salad, meat loaf with Hickory Allegro
Marinating Sauce, mashed potatoes, Southern style green beans, rolls and bread pudding with rum sauce, tea, lemonade and water.

Courtside dinning is $7 per adult and $5 for children under 10.
