MARTIN, Tenn. – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association identified Dawson and Maximus – both from the University of Tennessee at Martin – as Santa Cruz Animal Health Top-10 Horses today.
The top horses were selected from each of the four events in the NCEA: equitation on the flat; equitation over fences; reining and horsemanship. Dawson was on the list for both equitation over fences and equitation on the flat while Maximus earned the nod in equitation over fences.
Dawson and Maximus were named amongst the NCEA’s best in equitation over fences alongside Bo (Auburn), Capistrano (Baylor), Oakley (Oklahoma State), Dillon (SMU), Leo (SMU), Charm (SMU), Franc (Georgia) and Roman (Georgia).
In equitation on the flat, Dawson joined Calvin (Auburn), Fleet (Auburn), Mojo (Baylor), Capistrano (Baylor), Milton (Oklahoma State), Andrew (SMU), Cassie (SMU), CJ (Georgia) and Flash (TCU) as the nation’s best horses.
