MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin baseball program is set to host its first home games of the season as it welcomes Southeast Missouri to the friendly confines of Skyhawk Field. The series will begin on Friday, March 16 at 3 p.m. followed by a game on Saturday, March 17 at 3 p.m. and wrap up on Sunday, March 18 at 1 p.m.

UT Martin is led by Ben Aslett (.302 batting average, three RBIs and two home runs), Jordan Stoner (.290 batting average, two home runs and five RBIs) and Collin Edwards (.280 batting average, one home run and four RBIs). JoJo Allen has swung one of the heaviest bats on the season as he has tallied a team-high 11 RBIs while sporting a .265 batting average.

The Skyhawk pitching rotation will begin with right handed pitcher Austen Bullington (0-2, 8.71 ERA) getting the starting nod on Friday. Righty Winston Cannon (0-2, 10.70 ERA) will draw the start on Saturday while Sunday’s starter will be southpaw Sam Folks (1-2, 6.65 ERA).

The UT Martin bullpen looks to build off of its strong showing against Union as Zack Denney (0-2, 7.45 ERA), David Hussey (0-0, 5.40 ERA) and Jefferey O’Doherty (0-0, 5.79 ERA) all pitched a scoreless inning each and only allowed a pair of base runners. Konnor Aherin (1-0, 4.50 ERA) picked up the team’s first save of the season against Tennessee Tech and looks to be a lights out man in late innings.

Southeast Missouri (5-13, 2-1 OVC) is led by Trevor Ezell (.417 batting average, two home runs and 17 RBIs) and Tristen Gagan (.313 batting average, team-best four home runs and 21 RBIs). Peyton Faulkner and Chase Urhahn both boast a batting average over .300, .370 and .321 respectively. Justin Dirden and Wade Stauss have double digit RBIs, 18 and 10 respectively to round out the free swingers.

The Redhawk rotation will feature Logan Spalt (0-1, 4.34 ERA) getting the start on Friday, Christian Vick (2-1, 3.32 ERA) on Saturday and Sunday’s starter to be determined. Carlos Vega (3-1, 1.26 ERA) will be a key piece to the SEMO bullpen.
