MARTIN, Tenn. –
Quintin Dove, a 6-7, 200-pound forward from Cuyahoga Community College, has signed a National Letter of Intent to suit up for the University of Tennessee at Martin men’s basketball program.

Dove, who will be a junior for the Skyhawks in 2018-19, inked his commitment earlier today and is the first player signed by UT Martin during the early signing period.

“Quintin is a very versatile player,” Skyhawk head coach Anthony Stewart said. “He can play inside/out and comes from a very well-coached program at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio. He’s really good on the block and can also step out and shoot the jumper. We are proud to welcome him to the Skyhawk family.”

Dove is currently averaging a team-high 17.3 points per game for head coach Michael Duncan at CCC, helping the Challengers to a perfect 5-0 record and No. 12 national ranking. In addition to scoring, Dove also leads the team in field goal percentage (.639, 23-of-36), free throws made (23) and free throws attempted (28) so far in 2017-18. He has also secured 5.8 rebounds in only 21.0 minutes per contest.

A Cleveland, Ohio native, Dove dialed up a season-highs of 23 points and eight rebounds at Erie Community College on Nov. 10. He also tallied 17 points at Kennedy-King College in the season opener and 16 points on a perfect 6-for-6 shooting night at Genesee Community College on Nov. 11.

Dove captured Ohio Community College Athletic Conference second team and OCCAC All-Freshman honors last season. He also earned NJCAA All-Region 12 first team accolades after posting a team-best 13.1 points per game for a CCC squad that went 28-3 and shared the OCCAC regular season championship in 2016-17.

As a freshman, Dove shot 64.3 percent and once again showed an incredible knack for getting to the free throw line, tallying a team-high 96 free throws made in 126 attempts (76.2 percent). He also hauled in 7.6 rebounds per contest during his freshman campaign.

Dove was responsible for 22 double-digit scoring games in 2016-17, including a pair of 20-point outings. His career-high of 24 points came on Nov. 9 against Genesee Community College while he also notched 20 points against Sinclair on Jan. 21. He accumulated seven double-doubles (including 14 points and a career-best 16 rebounds against Lorain County on Feb. 22) and had four multi-steal performances for the Challengers.

Known for his volume scoring in the prep ranks, Dove averaged 25.6 points per outing during his senior season at Euclid High School under head coach Jonathan Harris. He piled up 50 points to go along with 15 rebounds in a narrow 85-81 loss at Mentor on Jan. 26. He also put up a monster game of 25 points and 13 rebounds against Elyria on Dec. 4.

Dove was named the No. 6 power forward prospect in the state of Ohio by Triple Double Prospects recruiting website. He was named All-Ohio honorable mention and earned first team all-district accolades after his senior season and took part in the 2016 News-Herald Classic All-Star Game at Lakeland Community College.

Prior to his senior season at EHS, Dove played his early high school days at Villa Angela-St. Joseph, where he helped the Vikings to a Division III state championship.

Dove joins a UT Martin program that has produced three consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time in school history. The Skyhawks are the only Ohio Valley Conference school to record at least one postseason victory in each of the past three seasons.
