Skyhawk Men's Basketball | Greg Majchrzak - Graduate Assistant
Greg Majchrzak is in his first season as a graduate assistant at UT Martin.
Majchrzak joins the Skyhawks out of Mineral Area College, a junior college located in Park Hills, Mo. He served as an assistant under head coach Luke Strege in 2015-16, a season where the Cardinals went 25-6 and finished the season ranked No. 18 in the final NJCAA national poll after reaching as high as No. 9 during the season.
At Mineral Area, Majchrzak oversaw the development of three All-Midwest Community College Athletic Conference and All-Region 16 players, including All-American Montell Goodwin. The Cardinals produced three players who furthered their careers at four-year institutions, including a pair of Division-I signees.
Majchrzak began his collegiate coaching career at The Citadel, a Division-I program based out of Charleston, SC. He worked for head coach Chuck Driesell in 2014-15, primarily working with Synergy video editing program, pre-practice workouts and basketball operations.
Alongside his father, Majchrzak founded The Skills Academy in his hometown of Erie, Pa., where the duo has conducted camps since the summer of 2010. He also was an assistant coach for his father at Seneca High School in 2011.
Majchrzak graduated from Hilbert College with a degree in political science in 2014. He was named to the Dean's List seven times at Hilbert, where he played for four seasons after beginning his playing career at Waynesburg University.
