Andrew Joannides joined the UT Martin Athletics staff in May of 2014 after spending two years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Joannides will serve as the Coordinator of Athletic Development in the Skyhawk Club where his main focus will be annual giving to UT Martin Athletics.
At UNLV, Joannides worked as a Development Assistant for the Rebel Athletic Fund. He also worked exclusively with current Skyhawk athletics director Julio Freire in creating the Extra Pass Club, where $111,500 was raised specifically for the UNLV men's basketball program in 2012-13. He also coordinated the transition of the Extra Pass Club into the Runnin' Rebel Club, where an additional $100,000 in new money was raised for men's basketball in the initial two months of 2014.
Joannides oversaw fundraising efforts of men's basketball, men's and women's swimming, cheer and dance. He also directed men's basketball and football hospitality areas.
Before his stint at UNLV, Joannides interned at the University of Wyoming in the Cowboy Joe Club and in the Marketing/Promotion department of Wyoming Athletics. He worked exclusively with the University Alumni Association to plan and organize 2011 football and men's basketball away game hospitality events, including the 2011 New Mexico Bowl. He also helped run the 2011 and 2012 Albany County fund drives, ultimately raising $451,000 and $487,000 for Wyoming Athletics in two weeks while managing over 20 volunteers who helped increase overall membership by 176 members.
Born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyo., Joannides graduated from Wyoming with a degree in communications in 2011.
